About the Journeyman Concrete Laborer Position
H.W. Johnson Concrete is looking for a journeyman concrete laborer to help with our construction projects. We are a family-owned and operated business that has been in operation since 1956. As a Journeyman Concrete Laborer, you would be responsible for assisting the foreman with all aspects of the project, including mixing and pouring concrete, moving materials, and cleaning up.

Journeyman Concrete Laborer Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman in all aspects of concrete work, including mixing, pouring, and finishing.
- Clean tools and equipment after use.
- Follow safety procedures at all times. Follow all federal, state, and local requirements when handling materials such as cement, aggregate, water, etc., according to specifications provided by supervisors/foremen.
- Mix and place concrete using a variety of hand tools, equipment, or machinery — depending on the type of job.
- Ensure work is completed to meet company standards for quality control in both appearance and strength.
- Work with other team members toward common goals including safety consciousness, punctuality, and productivity to complete projects efficiently.
Journeyman Concrete Laborer Requirements: High school diploma; previous experience working as a concrete laborer; ability to bend, lift, kneel, and perform strenuous tasks with your hands; journeyman certification may be preferred but not required at time of application.
